I should also probably point out that I've updated a bunch of the art on the site- the menu options and headers for both front page and archives. More such updates may follow depending on time constraints, so page around the site a bit and see if you can spot anything ^^

well, my thesis is completed and the comic is back under production. I'm still unfortunately quite busy, but never too busy to get some work done. I'm optimistic about restarting updating around or before christmas, but it might take a little longer than that. Keep an eye out for updates from now on, I'll try and post a few teasers to help keep the flame alive.

the good news first up: I updated the missed comic retroactively, and comics up until the end of august. I must also warn readers that for a period of about 5 comics during this month the comic should be considered NSFW due to full, non sexual nudity. Not Sanyiel's. You'll see.

Now for the bad news. I'm sorry it's all been bad lately, but I'm kinda like gandalf... I come only on the wings of storms, I keep quiet when everything is running smoothly.

Recently I've had a slew of extremely tough circumstances to deal with. I won't go into them in detail but suffice to say minor surgery, a couple of funerals and a serious challenge to my academic career have been the most influential. This also combines with a lot of my friends moving out of town and has meant I've not had the funnest time.

About a week ago I came to the decision I needed to shelve HiT for the time being. This is largely due to my academic needs. I have a thesis due in three months and it's not going well. Spending 4 hours a day on a comic while crunching hard to get over the hurdles is not something I can manage. I admit that the fact my readership has remained stagnant for something like two years and I'm lucky to receive feedback or a donation maybe once every three months hasn't helped my motivation. It's very hard to stay keen when throwing your work into a vacuum in this world of constant interaction. I feel awful saying that because the fact you're reading this means you are one of those loyal few who read the comic avidly enough to check the news and add to the readership numbers, but I also feel the need to justify why I'm letting you down. Again.

This does not mean HiT is over. As I stated, the pressing concern is my thesis, and for better or worse that is over in november. I think by that point I will be wanting to get back into business. It might take another month to build some buffer, but I will do it.

In the meantime, I'm happy to talk with you via email or on the forums. I also recently started a formspring account , you can use this to ask questions to the characters or to me about the comic. I thought it might be a fun way of keeping in touch during the break, so ask away-anything goes. If you want to ask a character, just start the question with their name.

Sorry about the delayed updates over the last week, I was lax on my uploads, one of the downsides of uploading months worth of comics at a hit is you always forget when the next batch is due.

All july comics uploaded now though, so clear sailing at least for the rest of the month
