Here's the deal. As you may have noticed my updating has been a bit spotty or delayed as late. This the first update I've missed, but I'm all out of buffer again. I'm currently looking for a job and also spending perhaps 40 hours a week building my portfolio by writing detailed articles for a professional blog and doing hardcore game design work. This means HiT has fallen behind and frankly I don't currently have the time to regather and set things up again to keep my production efficient.

I've also recently picked up some new tools for drawing, specifically mangastudio 5 and a keypad to help with shortcuts while working on my tablet (going from 8 shortcut keys to 24 is a big deal). When doing the comic I don't have much of a chance to use these tools, and I won't learn them if I don't focus on mastering them for a while. I want to learn how to draw real backgrounds and proper graphic novel style perspectives and shots, rather than my traditional front on camera. This means learning proper perspective, which MS5 is great for with some inbuilt 3d tools and perspective guides.

So I'm going to take a break from doing the comic story. I'm going to focus on learning to use the new tools I've got and produce some work that will help build my CV. I'm going to try really hard to make sure there's something HiT related to upload here every week, so keep checking back, but the story will be on hold for a while. I hope I picked a reasonable point for this.

Sorry bout the late comic folks, spent the last few days building and softwarebombing my new PC. It's an order of magnitude upgrade from my last rig, with 4 times the RAM, more than 4 times the processing power and SSD storage with the latest graphics programs (which means I can save my huge master files very fast and not lose work to crashes) .

It's all up and working now and it is glorious. Unfortunately, this combined with my christmas break has left me down at a single comic buffer again. Hopefully I won't need to skip any updates, but it might be a possibility. I'm also working on a big piece as a donation wallpaper which should be available in the next few weeks. I know it gets tiresome, but if you're a HiT fan and you want this thing to keep on rolling smoothly, donations are incredibly appreciated.

A little holiday news. As per usual I am visiting home over christmas which means 3 weeks away from the computer. I'm missing one update (this week) to lighten the load a little, but otherwise we'll continue story un-interrupted. There are a couple of comics with kind of bodgy finish in there, I was trying out photoshop CS6, but apparently its image compression algorithms are awful for my style of comic so they came out a bit shaky. I switched back to CS5 after 2.

In other news I am now a PHD candidate which is at once amazing and intimidating. Quite what this means for HiT i am not sure, but I would guess more positive than negative.

and we're back! There'll be daily updates till we're caught back up. As you may have noticed I'm currently on a 1 a week schedule. My buffer is slowly filling since I'm generally getting slightly more than one a week done, but the problem is I'm not reliably getting two done still

This is actually more of a writers-block situation, I'm trying to make sure I condense the comics as much as possible, which means I'm re-writing and re-imagining a lot of the upcoming story.
